Welcome to 2PawsUp!

2PawsUp is a 501c3 organization dedicated to saving animals from the high-kill shelters in North Carolina, providing necessary medical care, and finding them loving forever homes.

Spend some time on our site, meet our animals up for adoption, and learn more about our upcoming events, "happy tails" success stories, and many ways to get involved with 2PawsUp and animal rescue.

THE LONELY HEARTS CLUB

For the month of February, our goal is to find homes for the often overlooked in our crew.  These pets have so much love to give, and we have 14 of them looking for their special Valentine.  They have a special reduced fee of $50 that will still include all of their veterinary care.  They have lived in foster homes and received one-on-one love and socialization.  Our foster homes know their babies, so if you have a specific question, please just ask!

Help Lulu Recover From Her Surgery!

Lulu came to our rescue with a severe deformity on her front leg that caused her great pain while walking. Due to a buckshot injury to her rear hip amputation was not an option. So we fought to raise funding for a complex surgery that will correct the deformity ... a surgery that cost close to $4000!

Two weeks after surgery Lulu developed an infection in her elbow joint, and with it came worry and yes pain. She now sees the vet more frequently than originally estimated, costing our rescue enormously!

She has also struggled with anxiety during her crate resting, repeatedly catching her fixator on her pen, or crate, or anything else she can manage to get into.  This ultimately led to her dislocating her elbow and causing nerve damage in her leg.  Putting her elbow back into place was an option, but had a very low success rate.  Unfortunately, the decision had to be made to have her leg amputated.  The day after this surgery, she is jumping on her hind legs and wanting to play!  She feels great, and we hope her bum back leg won't slow her down.

ALL of this is above our original estimates and has rapidly depleted Lulu's funding and is eating away funding for our other medical needs.
Please go to her Facebook Page and ChipIn Page for regular updates and to donate!  You can also donate using the button at the bottom of this page, just place a memo that it is for Lulu.  No donation is too small!
